Alcohol is a drug which, in small amounts, causes a decrease in emotional tension and a sense of relative contentment. It increases confidence but decreases physical coordination, a combination that can prove lethal among inexperienced drivers of fast cars. Many drunk drivers questioned after accidents thought they had been driving particularly well. Alcohol causes unconsciousness in a concentration of 500mg per 100cm blood, and any higher can cause death.
